You might wonder why the Bible verses in the past few days... it's 'cause the WORD is about all that's keeping me sane/calm right about now. Today, I go through the final step of becoming a PhD Candidate. It's weird how i've been sorta looking forward to the exam - I couldn't wait to get it out of the way. Now that it's here, i still can't wait to get it out of the way...but I suddenly realize how important the exam is *gasp* *cringe*

Anyways, I'm here going over my notes, presentation, random knowledge...over and over again - praying for the best 'cause I can't even begin to imagine the worst. I know it is well! I'll be sure to let you know the good news later...

Below Freezing....

This is how i feel. Everyday! It's so cold out! It's been below freezing EVERYDAY since i got back...and it's supposed to snow all week. No matter how many layers I wear, I'm still freezing. Why isn't it that human beings get the option of hibernating throughout the winter and coming back out into the world in the Spring - all nice and refreshed?!

Aaaah, off to make some hot cocoa and snuggle up by my books....don't you just wish you were me right about now?! LOL!

Can't...breathe!!!!

I just turned in the proposal paper for my Candidacy Exam. I can't breathe....my heart's beating super-fast! I didn't really think I cared much but I'm scared shitless at the mo'. I hope I didn't just turn in rubbish. In a week, I have to give a presentation on the paper. Crappit! Anybody know a hole I can go hide in for a while?!

Okay, okay... goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life! AMEN! I believe and receive it. Now I just need to freaking calm down and trust that IT IS WELL!

About me: Fun (or not so fun) facts... part I

1. Mint makes me hungry.
2. I hardly ever say no to vanilla ice-cream.
3. Like my ice-cream, I like my chocolate simple - plain milk, dark or white chocolate. No nuts or fruits... maybe caramel or a simple wafer... u get what i mean!
4. Seeing as my first 3 facts are food-related, I'm guessing u can tell I love food!
5. I'm the last born in a family of 5 kids...No kids of my own (yet) but I've got 2 nieces and 2 nephews and i love them to tiny lil' bits.
6. I'm working on a PhD. Maybe i'll change the world someday!
7. I smile a lot. A whole lot. Not the creepy kinda smiles though...but I hardly ever have my poker face on, unless I absolutely have to.
8. I'll probably always be a kid at heart. I'm very playful.
9. I love drinking hot tea. But when I've got a cold, I gravitate t'wards lots of cold drinks!
10. I've got a soundtrack in my head for almost every scenario.

I realize that we're already 21 days into the new year but... I kinda started mine off late. Kinda sorta! I can't believe it's 2009 already! I feel like 2008 just went right past me - I'm not even sure I achieved that much all year... that's gotta change!

So, how's it going so far? Not so great - at least, I don't think so. Some ups, some downs... now it's somewhere in-between. I could sit and sulk and waste another year OR sit-up, focus, and make the most of this year. I choose the latter! I'll move forward. Like fine wine, I plan on getting better with age. My only resolution for this year is to be a better person in general...hopefully, that goes well.
